I've never had an official one (yes I know 37 and no bucket list!) but Hubby and I have been talking, things have been up and down for us and we have had to cancel some things that we'd had planned and we're both feeling quite despondent and fed up. Sadly we haven't been blessed with the fortune of having children but on the brighter side of that we have freedom, freedom to do so much as we aren't tied down or restricted (I don't mean for it to sound like children are a burden). So what do we do with all this freedom? NOTHING!!! We aren't making the most of life, life is weighing us down. We talked about the things we want do, things that we talk about every year but you know life, it can be awkward and busy can't it.
Any hoo, this discussion led to us deciding to get writing our bucket lists, we both have unofficial ones, things we want to do achieve, experience and own (with any luck) but it's now time to make them official. May be there's something in writing it down, a magical process. Once the words are written the dreams will then turn into reality... Or may be it just will get us working harder towards ticking things off the said lists? Ok I'm romanticizing things a little now aren't I? I'm sure there is nothing mystical about writing your bucket list but it's a fun idea though. I've still got the imagination of a child I think.
Now what this meant was I needed a new notebook, Hubby questioned my logic and felt that I must have a suitable one stashed away somewhere... Sadly he was right and I remembered I bought a cute little coral notebook with turquoise ribbon and elastic which would be ideal. It's big enough to write lots of things down in and small enough to slip in your bag for moments of inspiration. Hubby has a gorgeous leather handmade one which I bought him which he is going to use. He hasn't started his yet but he has been telling me lots of ideas already.
The next thing I got thinking was may be my bucket list deserves it's own page on The Tales of Me, so that will be the next thing to do.
So what about you, going back to my starting question, Have any of you got a bucket list or something similar? If so what are some of the things on your lists? Have you got a journal or notebook to write your list down in? I'd love to know, leave me a comment to tell me about yours and may be post an image of yours on Twitter or FB, sharing pretty notebooks is always a good thing!
I posted about a bucket list but forgot what was on it...LOL. I really would love to travel to Italy and each of the states in the US...perhaps one day. Hope you fill your book with wonderful and exciting goals and dreams. Happy Saturday Sharefest.

DeleteI don't have a bucket list, but I think that can be a great way to organize and really remember what you want to accomplish in your life!

DeleteA bucket list is a wonderful idea! My best friend got me to write mine, as she had done hers. It's a lovely way to positively manifest your desires and so far....she's managed to tick a few things off her list as friends and family helped make some possible as presents! A few things on my list included seeing both Paris and Italy (I've driven passed Paris so many times and never got to stop in!) and taking an art course....to name a few! Happy imagining and manifesting!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mesina. I'm excited to finally get writing mine and I'm thoroughly looking forward to ticking things off. I'm especially excited as later this year I will be able to tick off meeting a meerkat! Just bought tickets to spend time with one and you get to feed them etc!
DeleteI love having a bucket list! I shared my summer bucket list on my blog a few weeks ago and I have a general bucket list of things I'd like to accomplish...including a fair amount of traveling! As for my summer bucket list, I've already crossed a few things off so that feels really good!
ReplyDeleteI often think about putting a bucket list together but as of yet haven't. I'm sure I'll get round to it at some point, but in the meantime I shall enjoy reading about how you get on with yours, Kate x
ReplyDeleteI need to do one too actually. I have a board on Pinterest but it's not a full list, I don't have much I want to do at present. I want to do a summer bucket list too xx
ReplyDeleteI've never thought of having a bucket list, maybe it's because as you ger older (as I am) there won't be enough time to get everything done. So, I love to visit Austria, go to Disneyland and ride on a zip wire. Apart from that can't think of anything but looking forward to reading yours.
