Hey, remember me? Kate here. Wow, I haven't checked out my blog for ages. It's been well and truly neglected!
Sheesh! My last post was back in October and that was just a quickie.
So what have I been up to? Well between life, stress, exams and study, it's all been crazy busy! I just haven't had the time or inclination to get on my computer and write my posts. Well I finally got the good new that I passed both my OSCE's which was a huge relief!
After those exams there was no resting the old noggin, I had to hit the books again and more studying for my Chronic Obstructive Disease Diploma! Oh yes no rest for the wicked. That exam is all done now, I am hoping I should pass it it, won't hear until about March next year as I have to do an essay as well which is what I a working on now. I am getting kind of fed up of all this studying now. In January I will have a break but then in February I will be starting my prescribing course which is 6 months of serious study! Not sure how much I'm looking forward to it. Mad? Glutton for punishment? Who me?
We have had a few dramas in the Rigby household over the last few months, Pete's car once again broke down. Arghhhh! He'd only had it back and working for about a month before it failed us again. He did get the part which cost us too much money and fixed that problem but still not driveable as there seems to lots of oil in the exhast pipe. Now I'm no mechanic but I know that ain't right! So basically it's just sitting outside redundent. We just can't justify spending anymore money on the car. Plan is to sell it and then in February we should be able to buy a new one (well not a brand new one).
Oh yeah and when it was working Hubby's car also had a little mishap of rolling down the hill where we park! A hair-raising moment which involved the police and the firebrigade but thankfully no real harm was done but it does mean we seriously need to look at making where we park safer.
In the storms we had in Surrey the other month our whole fence on one side got damaged. We do have a temporary fence up but it's not the most secure and our Houdini pooch keeps managing to escape which has meant several late night escapades sneaking into neighbours gardens (they don't have secure fencing up either) to retrieve him! Apart from taking himself on little adventures our dear little Spike has rolled around in foxes poop in the garden several times! He chooses to do it either first thing in the morning or last thing at night.
So you can see with all the dramas and studying I haven't really had time to blog.
I hope there's some of you out there who will still stop by and visit on The Tales of Me, I promise to make more of an effort and try and organise time better to get some posts up. I have a few Christmas ones lined up and plan to get some more craft and sewing done so we shall see...
Nice chatting again. I've missed my blog.
Wow, what a busy time you've had and I'm so pleased all your hard work is paying off. I take it you'll get a well earned break over Christmas? Enjoy the festivities and here's to a fabulous 2014 x
ReplyDeleteThanks Suzie. I feel a bit bogged down I have to say and all the fun stuff I wanted to do and fun prep stuff for Christmas like baking etc has gone out the window, But its all good really. I'm optipistic that 2014 is going to be a good year :)
DeleteYou've been busy too. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas too.
xx
Hi Kate, good to see you back again. Great news about your exams! Straight into another too you're a glutton for punishment. When I worked in the Drs surgery a few of the district nurses and the health visitor went through the prescribing course and its a lot of work and quite tough but you'll nail it,we just might not see you on here much.
ReplyDeleteGood to se you back kate! Such a pain the car going! Well done on your studies so far hope it all continues to go well. Xx
