Only joking really (well kind of), I know I'm not old but it's still weird, the years go by so quickly don't they. More importantly what I seriously can't believe is my dad is 80 this year! Now, that is ridiculous, I mean does this look like a very nearly 80 year old man to you?
Since it is a very big birthday for him this year you will be hearing more about my lovely dad in the coming months. I hopefully will have some interesting tales to tell as my Dad had a very different up bringing I imagine to you and I, being born in India. My father in law is doing some research for me about our family tree, I can't wait to see what he's found out.
Ok, yes it's my birthday and I'm happy to say I have the day off work but as we have already had an expensive month (I know, it's only the 8th but had to put up a new fence) I'm not doing much with the day off unfortunately but it's better then being on a long day. Hopefully we will continue to have good weather and may be get out for a picnic with the pooches at the weekend.
I feel a little bit meh, about this birthday
It's come round far to quickly and I'm not ready for it, plus skint which puts a dampener on any celebrations. So birthday I say to you (you can imagine the sound effect, in fact I'd like you to join in).
Awe, those pictures made me smile. I found the raspberry blowing quite therapeutic. Oh dear I may have lost the plot a little today and I promise you I haven't been drinking.
Right I'm off to do something, not sure what but I can't spend all day on the computer on my birthday.

Happy Birthday, Kate. Sometimes it's nice to enjoy a quiet birthday, feet up, doing nothing except relaxing. A bit like a 'me time' birthday. Sounds lovely to me xxx

ReplyDeleteThanks Cyndee. I'm looking forward to next week and joining in again.
DeleteTry adding 20 yrs to your age and you can imagine how I'll feel in July. I just don't think birthdays have the same impact when you're an adult. I can't think of one birthday I've enjoyed apart from my 40th when I had a huge party. Your dad looks great and I bet he still feels like a young man inside. We never change how we feel our bodies just keep letting us down. Hope you enjoyed your day.
ReplyDeleteBut Anne your so glam! It is scary how the years creep up. My dad does bless him. Thanks for stopping by :)
