Blog plans and review
This week I want to be on top of things again.
First things first. a review of last weeks plans -
Friday was my 4th Blogiversary which I posted about, I had planned to link it to 5 on a Friday but I didn't in the end. I can't believe I've been blogging for 4 years.
A little while ago I was given a woderful book of poetry and I thought Valentines day was a perfect day to share a couple of the poems. If you missed the post here it is, Life is beautiful and sad.
I sorted out the size and position of my blog signature, so I'm happy with it now.
I started the week with some successful sewing projects and ended badly. I wanted to make myself a cute little purse, which was all going really well but I was using some small scraps of material that I had and unfortunately one of fabrics frayed which spoiled it so I will need to start it again.

Blog plans and a little bit of sewing.
Oh dear, I've let things slide a bit. I missed my Sunday blog plan post and now we are on Thursday! I've not felt inspired to write this week, my mood's been a little out of sorts. On Monday we sadly had to go to a friend of the families funeral which is not a nice way to start a week but as funerals go she had a lovely send off and what was wonderful the sun was shining all day.
It's nearly the end of this week but I still have some plans -
My 5 on a Friday post is going to be linked to my bloggiversary! This Friday it will be 4 years since I started blogging. Wow! I've never stuck with a hobby for so long, yay me!
One of my patient's gave me a poem book he self published and one of the poems is about his wife. So I thought it would be an apt poem to share on Valentines day.
I wasn't inspired to blog this week but I was inspired to sew. I often listen to an audiobook in bed on my mobile and frequently end up knocking my phone off it, so I decided to make a handy hanging pouch for my mobile phone which attaches to my bedside drawer. I really enjoyed making this as I got to use my new quarter inch foot and I've never sewn on velcro, which actually wasn't too bad to do. I will do a tutorial for this but that will be next week.
The 2nd thing I made was a zipper pouch, this was purely to practice sewing and I am pleased to say it is the neatest one that I have made so far and I'm really happy with how the zipper turned out. The corners are much better then previous attempts. I need to perfect my ladder stitch, but I didn't do all the bad. It's actually quite a pretty pouch. I don't really need any more zipper pouches but I suppose it's by practicing you perfect different techniques and your sewing,
All in all, the week wasn't a complete wash out and I've managed to achieve a bit, I'll be back on it next week! How's your weeks been?
Has anyone in the UK been watching the Great British Sewing Bee? I missed the last series but I'm enjoying this one. I have no idea how they all do it. I could not work under that pressure! I'd get so stressed. Obviously all the contestants are skilled at sewing and I love watching how they all get on. It's really impressive. I really love the fact you have got people of all ages and walks of life. There's not many compititions which you have some one of 20 competing with people in their 60's, I mean the winner of the first series was 81! How fab is that.
I best actually post this now since is gone 8pm. Thanks for stopping by as always
So reviewing my last blog plans from 3rd Feburary, the posts I had planned went out and I managed to resolve the problem with my blog signature position, which has been really frustrating me. I just want to adjust the size of my signature now but for some reason it wouldn't work when I tried so I thought best left alone for now.

I've not been social at all this week. But I will be joining in some linky parties at the weekend.
Now that I have resolved the positioning of my signature I want to sort out the size of it and make it a little smaller.

Blog plans: review and plans for the week.
Well as it does every week, hasn't the week flown by. It's
All in all I've done reasonably well with last weeks blog plan.
My post on making a phone sock pouch went out as planned on Wednesday.
I haven't even glanced at my posts in progress, however I did manage to do 2 posts last week, which I am pleased about.
Using the tutorial on Code it pretty I was able to add an automatic blog signature to posts. I just need to reposition it from after the email subscription box.
So all in all not a bad week, I didn't get to do the baking I'd planned but that isn't a bad thing as we're all trying to a bit healthier in our household. The linky parties last week were great as always. I love being able to do these regularly because you get to know the other lovely bloggers better. If you haven't joined in a linky party yet, I highly recommend you do. They're great for meeting other bloggers, getting your blog out there and there is so much inspiration. You start recognising faces and blogs the more you do them and imagine that will work both ways.
Now to this weeks plans
Saturday I went on a lovely walk with my boys, so I want to share some of the pictures I took with you. It was cold, wet and muddy but although our weather in England can be pretty dreary and miserable the British Country side is beautiful and we had a lovely day, particularly the pooches.
There'll be my 5 on a friday post as usual and I will hopefully complete one of my posts in progress.
*I haven't change my plans even though my review post is late so we shall see how the week goes and what I achieve.*
I am planning to join in a Craft challenge with 2 crochet hooks. February's challenge is a cereal box upcycle, seeing what creative things you can do with cereal box or similar material.
I'm hoping to fix my blog signature and I also need to fix my blog button. The one that actually matches my blog design didn't work for some reason, so I am going to try and sort that out.
An ongoing thing I am looking into is how to improve my blog photos, so although I am not going to achieve this in one week, I want to look into things a bit more if I can.
So that''s it, do you have much planned for the week? How have things been for you in January, do you feel you're on top of things? Have you got any linky parties or challenges you are planning to join in with?
I love to here from you, so leave a comment and let me know.

Blog plans for the week.
In a bid to get organised with my blogging I'm posting my plans for the week on Sundays (hopefully). The inspiration from this came from Maria from First Draft Cafe.
Wednesday I have a post on a really quick and easy sock phone pouch I made. Well it was kind of easy I had a little trouble with the tension of the thread but I'll tell you all about it.
There are 2 posts I need to complete that I have been working on so I need to finish at least one if not both of them ready for publishing.
I need a timetable of all the linky parties which I like to join in with which I can store on Evernote on my phone.
